Alcohol Concerns call to criminalise parents for introducing their children to drink have been blown out of the water by a study by Liverpool John Moores University.
The study shows that the common sense view on giving children alcohol actually works. If you introduce children to alcohol at an early age in a family environment, they are less likely to go off in secret and abuse it.

I just think that parents need to be educated as to the extent to which alcohol is being abused today, especially by youngsters - there's research from multiple sources, this research was commissioned by a drug rehab facility http://www.clearhavencenter.com/addictions-research/alcohol-addiction/
